BuzzrdAI provides an AI-powered virtual receptionist service that answers phone calls on behalf of businesses. We believe in being transparent about our use of artificial intelligence technology with both our business customers and the callers they serve.

This AI Disclosure Policy explains what AI technology we use, how we inform callers about interacting with AI, and your rights when speaking with our AI receptionist.

3. How We Disclose AI Usage

Disclosure at Call Start

Our AI receptionist identifies itself as an AI assistant at the beginning of every call, ensuring callers know they are speaking with artificial intelligence.

Transparency is a core value at BuzzrdAI. When our AI answers a call, it clearly identifies itself as an AI assistant. This disclosure occurs at the start of the conversation so callers can make informed decisions about how they wish to proceed.

This disclosure practice ensures compliance with applicable laws and respects the caller's right to know they are interacting with artificial intelligence rather than a human receptionist.

Our AI also informs callers that the call may be recorded, in compliance with applicable call recording laws.

6. Your Rights as a Caller

Right to Know

You have the right to know when you are communicating with artificial intelligence rather than a human. Our AI always identifies itself.

When you call a business using BuzzrdAI, you have the right to:

  • Know you're speaking with AI: Our AI identifies itself at the start of every call
  • Request human assistance: You can ask to speak with a human or request a callback from the business
  • End the call: You can hang up at any time if you prefer not to interact with AI
  • Have your information protected: Your caller information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy

7. Human Escalation

Request a Human Callback

If you prefer to speak with a human, simply tell our AI assistant. The business will be notified to call you back.

We understand that some conversations require human attention. If at any point during a call you prefer to speak with a human representative, you can:

  • Tell the AI you would like to speak with a person
  • Ask the AI to have someone call you back
  • Request that your message be flagged as urgent

The business will receive a notification indicating your preference for human contact and can follow up accordingly. Response times depend on the individual business's availability and practices.

8. AI Limitations

Important: AI Has Limitations

While our AI is designed to be helpful and accurate, it may occasionally misunderstand requests, provide imperfect responses, or be unable to handle complex situations.

You should be aware that our AI technology:

  • May misunderstand: Background noise, accents, or unclear speech may occasionally be misinterpreted
  • Has knowledge limits: The AI can only provide information it has been configured with by the business
  • Cannot make decisions: The AI gathers information but does not make business decisions, schedule appointments on the spot, or provide professional advice
  • Is not for emergencies: For medical, safety, or other emergencies, please hang up and call the appropriate emergency services

The businesses using BuzzrdAI are responsible for reviewing AI-generated call summaries and following up with callers appropriately.

9. Call Recording

Calls May Be Recorded

Calls handled by BuzzrdAI are recorded for quality assurance, service improvement, and to provide accurate transcripts to businesses.

When you call a business using BuzzrdAI, your call may be recorded. Our AI informs callers of this at the start of the conversation.

How recordings are used:

  • To create accurate transcripts for the business you called
  • To generate call summaries and capture important information
  • For quality assurance and service improvement
  • To resolve disputes about call content if necessary

Retention: Call recordings are retained for 90 days. Transcripts and summaries are retained for 1 year. After these periods, the data is permanently deleted.

10. How We Handle AI-Generated Data

Secure Data Processing

Information gathered by our AI is processed securely and shared only with the business you called.

When our AI speaks with you, it may collect and process the following information:

  • Caller Information: Your name, phone number, and reason for calling
  • Call Transcript: A text version of the conversation
  • AI Summary: An AI-generated summary highlighting key points from the call
  • Audio Recording: The full audio recording of the call

11. Opting Out

Your Choice

If you prefer not to interact with our AI, you may hang up at any time or ask to have a human call you back.

You are not required to interact with our AI receptionist. If you prefer not to:

  • End the call: You may hang up at any time after the AI identifies itself
  • Request callback: Ask the AI to have someone from the business call you back directly
  • Try another method: Contact the business through their website, email, or other channels they may offer

If you have concerns about how a specific business uses BuzzrdAI, we encourage you to contact that business directly.
